1st Half Observations
Here are my first half observations about the Bengals game tonight:
- Chris Henry has had 2 balls thrown to him, and they were a perfect microcosm of what I love and hate about him. He dropped a potential touchdown pass that hit him in the hands. Then he beat the deep safety on a beautiful TD catch. (although really...the safety blew that play because for some reason he started cheating towards RUDI JOHNSON who was lined out wide. This is why the 49ers suck)
- Shaun Hill isn't that good. He has a terrible throwing motion that makes no sense. He was good last week against the Vikings (last in the league against the pass). He is good so far against the Bengals (near last in the league against the pass). Maybe he should play a team that knows how to play defense first.
- I don't know what our Defense is good for really. We get zero pressure on the QB, forcing our rookie DB's to play really well. Then Dexter Jackson is there to not do anything productive. Get him off the field and put in White. DO IT.
- Palmer looks way better out of the bad weather
- De De Dorsey should get the ball 10-12 times per game. Not 2 per half.
- Bryant Gumbel is terrible. Really bad. But Deion and Marshall Faulk are doing OK. They have at least both made legitimate points. But I wish Collinsworth was doing this. He is fantastic.
That's all I got for now.
