Sunday, July 13, 2008The SidelinerThere's a new very funny sports blog out on the intergoogle called The Sideliner. In the spirit of full disclosure, I have to mention that the author is my sister. But that doesn't change the fact that it is a very well written blog. So go check it out...you won't be disappointed! ![]() Labels: DIA News Sunday, April 6, 2008Letters On PagesI wanted to let everyone know that I recently started a new blog called Letters on Pages. Letters on Pages is a book review blog, dedicated to non-fiction books. I am trying to update it with new reviews as much as I can, and I am really enjoying doing that. Please check it out! Once there, you can subscribe to the feed in the normal RSS fashion. Or you can enter your e-mail and then you will be e-mailed new postings as I write them. Thanks...and I hope you like it! ![]() Labels: DIA News Tuesday, March 18, 2008New gig - Jdsblog.comI recently started a new writing gig for an upcoming business blog at www.jdsblog.com. I will be writing about purchasing/buying/inventory control. (that's what I do in real life. During the day, I buy things. At night, I fight crime. And sometimes write stuff. But mostly fight crime.) I am pretty excited about it and I hope you will check out the blog. It is an interesting blog with some interesting business tips. Tell your friends about it! ![]() Labels: DIA News, Other Writings Friday, December 21, 2007SPORTS TRIVIA GAME!New Feature here at DIA: Sports Trivia!!! I'll ask a question here and post a link to where you can see the answer. You then post in the comments what your score was. I am trusting that you will not cheat by looking at the answers first...and that you will report your score accurately. I will keep a running count of who scores the most for the fun of it. Have fun and remember...NO CHEATING!!!! What 4 colleges have produced both a Super Bowl winning quarterback AND a US President? Name them. ANSWER ![]() Labels: DIA News, NFL, Politics, Sports Trivia Wednesday, December 12, 2007Search Amazon from DIA!Hey everyone...I've added a nice little feature on the right side of the blog for those of you who are online shoppers...or just like Amazon. You can search all of amazon through the link on the right. It will open up your search in a new page. Then you can buy whatever you want. The added plus to using the search link from my page is that I get credit for whatever purchases you make, which helps this blog out. Once you do a search and it opens a window...you can search for anything and as long as you don't close out of that session, whatever you buy will be credited to DIA. So if you are an amazon shopper...PLEASE use my link! Thanks! ![]() Labels: Amazon.com, DIA News, Online Shopping Monday, September 17, 2007DIA NewsI have some logistics I'd like to go over with you about DIA and what you can do to help me out. Right now on the site I have 3 different advertisement systems set up. Here is how they work: Amazon On the left tool bar is a picture of a book cover under the "What I'm Reading" header. That is a linkable picture and it takes you to the amazon.com page for that book. BUT, you don't have to buy that book. You can buy anything once you link through my page. So if you are going to be buying something on amazon...PLEASE get to amazon.com by clicking on my link. Once you are there you can search for the item you want and buy it like normal. Ticket City This is a new advertisement here are DIA. It is a pretty cool site that has access to tickets to pretty much any event anywhere. If you are looking for tickets to a game, or a concert, or a show you can access Ticket City through my page. It's a pretty well run company I think. Even if you aren't looking for tickets for anything, I would appreciate it if you would click on the banner anyway...I get credit for each time someone clicks through to the site. Google Ads Directly underneath the Ticket City banner is a banner with a couple of ads on it. I get credit for click throughs on that page as well...so if you are at DIA, please help me out and click on the google ads. Thanks for helping me out and clicking on/using my advertisers, it will really help DIA out in the long run. Thanks and please spread the word about DIA!!! The site is called: http://www.serioussportsnewsnetwork.com/. This is a "fake news" site, a la The Onion. There are a number of different writers who contribute the news stories of various cleverness. Some of the writers tend to be a bit crude, which I generally think is a cheap way to get a joke. But generally it is pretty funny. They don't attribute each story to a particular writer, which I think would be a good idea. It would allow people to find their "favorite" writers and make sure they read them My first post can be read here. I will have another project that I will be writing for as well, probably in the near future. I will update you on that when it comes around. Labels: DIA News
