Saturday, June 30, 2007Michelle Wieummm...apparently Michelle Wie has withdrawn from another tournament. At least this is what ESPN says. I have nothing against Michelle Wie personally. I don't even know her. What I do know is that she keeps trying to play on the PGA tour, taking sponsors exemption spots away from other players. She has never made the cut. Not even once. So now she is playing the Women's British Open, and she withdraws after shooting a 17 over 27 holes. A month ago, while playing in the Ginn Open, she withdrew before her round ended to make sure she didn't shoot an 88. If a player shoots an 88 in a round, they are banned from the LPGA for a year. So basically she is a quitter. She has quit in a number of other events as well. I think everyone she has played in actually. I don't know the official stat. Maybe she should try to beat kids her age before she takes on the LPGA Tour. And maybe she should try to win a tournament on the LPGA tour before taking on the PGA Tour. Just a thought.
