Top 7 - 3.8.07
The weekly DIA Top 7 ListSeven Things I Like Right Now- Dumb Little Man - This is a really interesting website/blog where some random dude gathers links and makes his on tips on doing stuff in every day life. He has some good articles on money management/frugality, and some good tips on other stuff. Check it out.
- The Blogosphere - I realize that is a pretty queer and non-original way to describe it...but that's what I am going with here. A year ago I was dubious about how entertaining/informative blogs would be. I was wrong. Blogs can be VERY entertaining and VERY informative. Like using Wikipedia, you just have to be careful about the information. Anyone can start their own blog. For example, this blog you are reading this very second. As you can tell, no training required.
- March Madness Brackets - I am excited to run my annual bracket pool. Certain things always happen.
- I spend too much time thinking about the first round, then get impatient and hastily fill out the rest of the bracket.
- My dad picks his team in some totally random way, usually by flipping a coin. Obviously he loses pretty badly every year
- My Grandma stays in the running long enough to get excited, but then can't finish in the end. This inability to finish is almost always due to her making at least 1 (usually 2) totally inexplicable pick in the 2nd round.
We will see what happens this year...hopefully I can rig it enough that I win.
- Mountain Dew - The nectar of the gods. That's a pretty weird sentence now that I look at it. Does anyone use the word nectar anymore? I doubt it.
- The Penny - Why do people want to get rid of it? I like them. True, they cost more to produce than they are worth right now. But that will probably change. I did find out that there are Pro-Penny groups and Anti-Penny groups. That is fascinating. But the more important question is: Why would the Pro-Penny people feel the need to hire this man to be their spokesman?
- Scarlett
- Chris Thile - Chris is a musician from the band Nickel Creek. He is the most unbelievable musician I have ever heard/seen. He primarily plays the mandolin, but he will pretty much play anything. Check out some Nickel Creek for examples.
